My fortune cookie the day before yesterday said:
All of your hard work will soon pay off.

My fortune cookie yesterday said:
Success is on its way to you.

My fortune cookie today says:
Idleness is the holiday of fools.

Conclusions:
I eat too much Chinese food.
And, I should stop procrastinating on the internet and get to work.

My two title holders have got to be,
In God we trust, all others pay cash
and
Don't drive drunk.

Do they have special bins for the "problematic" customers?

This is entirely unrelated to fortune cookies, but a propos of our drunken cat conversation the other night: which vet was it that you said you take your cat to? Is it the Riverside on 79th St. -- the one that specializes in alternative veterinary medicine? I'm looking for a less expensive vet than the one I'm curently taking my cat to.

Yep, that's the one - they're not very expensive (not even for boarding, which is usually enough to make you consider smuggling your cat through airport security in dufflebag, and to hell with the consequences), and they're great with Gypsy, who can be, um, kind of a handful (translation: a snarling crackheaded furball). It's worth a shot ...
