Aug. 19th, 2005 08:45 pmI love my cat, very much.
And it's a damned good thing, too, otherwise I might ... take exception ... to some of her less-then-feline-traits. I mean ... she's not a Mighty Hunter: I'd swear to god that the yowls translated into human as Eeek! A bug! She's not possessed of anything resembling the quality of self-preservation: as we've talked about before, she's set her tail on fire. And, as for feline grace? She just fell behind the bookshelves.
Got herself good and stuck, too. Yowled for a good twenty minutes, making these sad, periodic attempts to leap nobley to the top of the six-foot shelf in the four inches of run-up room afforded to her, attempts which just concluded with these sad, furry thumps.
During these twenty minutes, I was, of course, doing my damndest to move the heavy shelf. That was fun.
Now, she is, of course, doing her damndest to get back up there, despite my reasonable protestations.
I love my cat, very much.
And it's a damned good thing. Otherwise, next time? I'd leave her there.
