My allergies were through the roof yesterday, so after taking the rough equivalent of an entire pharmacy (seriously - Zyrtec, Chlorotrimeton, DaQuil - twice! no, thrice!) I gave up and took Benadryl.  I hate Benadryl.  It stops the sneezing like the Pill stops babies.  The Pill?  Apparently lowers women's libido's to the point where they no longer really want to engage in the activities.  The Benadryl?  Stops the sneezing to the point that I'm unconscious.  But that's not the point of this post - though, at some point, I really must amass a list of ironic, cure-worse-than-the-disease medications.

After I woke up - late, see, aformentioned 12 hours - the Gnu wandered in to ask me how I slept.  So, I said "Good ... except I had these awful nightmares.  We were at a seaside resort, and we were surrounded by mad people."  He pauses in that sort of "..." way and asks, in a falsely cheerful tone, "So, do you want to go on a retreat?"  And then my cell phone rings.

I have programmed it for Beethoven's 5th.  You know, "Da-da-dad-DUM!"  Ominous.  So, if you don't hear from me after September 15th ... I will have retreated.

I know a plethora of hippie-tastic plant based remedies for seasonal allergies. Feel free to e-mail me at karmstev at geeeeemaiiiil dot com if you don't mind pureed hippie plant pills/tinctures.

I used to take Singulair, Zyrtec, Flonase, and allergy shots and still be miserable, but am now hippie-based and much healthier and happier.

I just saw this! Totally e-mailing you: the weird allergies have subsided, but not disappeared, and I'm at the point where I'll snort ground Spree if it will just make it STOP already.
