...had a lovely evening hanging out with Jim, Liz, Dave (who was kind enough to "officially" invite me), and the likes of tnh , pnh , sdn , though, unfortunately not alg  (feel better!) (dude, its enough to make me think of starting a professional-level, initials only LJ as hjp , though probably there's someone posing as Harry James Potter who already owns that one ... ) talking about speculative fiction, politics, and in a nice split decision, topic-wise, Pullman's views on Bush.  The free wine was nice too ...
