98%ALCOHOLIC

I don't know what scares me more ... my actual score, or the fact that I'm outraged over the one question that I got wrong, which I would like to dispute with you, people of LJ: the test asked what the first distilled form of booze in North America was, and I guessed whiskey: apparently, the correct answer is TEQUILA. Now, I would have guessed that if it hadn't specified *North* American ... am I wrong here, or is the test mistaken? Or is this just I sign that I need more tequila in my life?

I've always been taught that Mexico is part of the North American continent, so the test should be correct.

And everyone needs more tequila...

And thus, my "Not Living Up To Her Full Potential" in Geography as a kid proves true ....

And, point! Now, if only I had limes in the house ....

It seems to me (North American/American question aside) that a test that narrows the possible options as you go through the list doesn't really test much, in its final stages, but your ability to guess right.

But that's just me. And I'm a Drunkard. Officially. So you don't need to listen to a word I say.

Why do I ALWAYS take these tests, even when they're about things I'm not all that into? Because, you know, acid reflux=the occasional glass of wine and no more, which is very sad-making.

I always take them, too, especially when I'm bored: they're IRRESISTABLE! Also (my private theory), they're an easy substitute for a real post on days when you want to chat with friends but don't have the energy to tackle a real issue ... so it's all displaced on to the comments section ....*

*Of course, this is predicated on an amusing result, which, luckily, this one happens to provide ....

Nope, I believe the test is right on--consider Texas and Mexico.

Also? That is a ridiculously easy quiz. I got the same as you.

I don't know. I thought I got them all right, though I did need more than one clue on one of them. Maybe that's what did it?

You are clearly not a big fan of NAFTA.

The key part was "indigenous". Whiskey is made from Barley, which is not indigenous to North America.

Admittedly, I might have guessed Bourbon if that had been an option. A quick wiki afterwards showed that bourbon wasn't developed until the 19'th century, though.

And, 100% alcholic. Although I guessed on the second to last question. What kind of a stupid ass clue was that, anyway? If you are actually alcoholic, would you remember the favorite drink of some loser in a ten year old crappy movie?
