Okay, for "Shopgirl"?  I almost forgive Claire Danes for "Stardust".

Also, I now deeply love Steve Martin, even more than I did as a little girl watching "Roxanne".  (See, my nose.)  To think that I'd feared it'd be another sad iteration of "Lost in Translation" ....

Also, if I was in NY, this would be the point that I'd do a shout-out for somebody, anybody, to watch "Guineveres" with me ... being in LA, best I can do is recommend it.  Sigh.

And, of course, "Shopgirl".

I love Guinevere. Liked Shopgirl okay.

Only okay? For me, it got off to a slow start (and I couldn't help feeling like the entire Jeremy story-line was extraneous), but was on the whole very satisfactory.

Yeah. The tone of the book was more intriguing to me and I wished that had translated.

I left you a vm last night--I'll try and call you during my lunch, around 1pm EST.

Where all do you live in LA now? Because I could totally go for movie night. (**grin** And give you an overload of the "CA brainless chick" accent.)

Now, *that* is what I call a plan: we're in Monrovia now. You're in Long Beach, right? Perhaps we should plot over e-mail ... I'm at hpilinovsky AT gmail.com.
