Venice?  Completely lives up to its reputation.  However, the tourists feeding the pigeons out of their damn hands at San Marco worry me.  I mean, have they never heard of hepatitis?

P.S. - I know I suck for not responding to comments more readily, and love you all (yes I do!), but internet access is spotty, to say the least.  More once I find an internet cafe ....

I've got pictures of myself as a young sprout (13 years old, in fact) in St. Mark's Square with my hands full of feeding pigeons. The fact that I suffered no ill effects proves one of two things: 1) Feeding pigeons out of your hands is not particularly bad for the health; 2) I had a remarkable immune system at 13.

Ditto on the pic request ... with adults, it makes me cringe, but with kids there's a Mary Poppins-esque charm to it. Though, ditto and a firm thankgod! on #2 ....

Completely off topic and last second:

I'm meeting some friends tonight for bowling and DDR at Gameworks in Long Beach. From 5pm till around 9pm. If you're not busy, you're welcome to join us. (These are the least geeky people I know in the world: a librarian, a techie who used to be in band, and a guy looking for a gaming circle...)
