The grad. school gripes are fading slightly now that I've managed to clear my schedule a bit ... the crankiness was at least partially due to the sensation of being swamped by all of the extraneous stuff that I had signed on for in order to feel that I was actually *doing* something. I think that now that I've come to terms with the fact that, yes, coursework is my life for the near future, and that trying to squeeze two lives into my meager spare time won't actually make anything better, I ought to be able to avoid similar situations in the future. Ah, NYRSF, I love you, but I am soooo glad to have those essays out of my inbox... Also, got tapped by a prof. to teach a class on Rossetti, and am feeling smug and happy.
