Smug!  By god, I am smug.

Today's excursions have netted me many delightful things, the least of which is Bentley's pomegranate tea.

The others include, but are not limited to:

- a pair of Via Spiga patent leather loafers in a rusty rose red (I am particularly smug about these, as VS shoes are getting harder and harder to find since their Madison Ave. store shut down)

- a black, purple, and emerald-green patterned dress that I believe will horrify my father and the 'Gnu, but delight my mother and [profile] vschanoes (which, really, I feel evens out to a net gain, as horrifying the 'Gnu is practically a hobby)

- a DKNY black wrap dress for $15.00.  Smug, I tell you, smug!

Hey, wanna contribute to my smugness?  Share with me the title of your favorite Intro. to Folklore textbook.  I'm teaching a course next term, and the only problem is that I can't seem to find a good overview of the field.  I could just make them buy Propp, Dundes, etc., separately, but given that a lot of my students are working students, I feel a little reluctant to go that route.  Tips?

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Poor (Failure)

Take the test!

I have the sneaking suspicion that half of the things that I checked proudly ("wears red nail polish") are meant as negatives, and half the ones I left blank with guilt ("tries to drive when husband is in the car") are things that I'm supposed to pride myself on. Unsurprisingly, I score a lot higher according to "husbandly" standards ....
