Oh, my god. I just watched the cat balance precariously on the filing cabinet near the door, stand on her hind legs, and reach out to try to turn the knob. WELL, THAT WAS ODD.

In other news, Queen Rat, er, has a livejournal now. It's a sad, sad thing when even ones alter ego needs an outlet for procrastination ...

My guess is that the cat was trying to escape Queen Rat. I looked at Queen Rat's livejournal, and from what I can tell, she is quite the intimidating rodent.

In Hanover? I went through velcro closers, and magnets, and hook and eye latches before I finally had to resort to locking the door behind myself every single time I went out. The guys at the hardware store called her "Garfield." I guess I ought to be thankful that it's taken her three years to figure out the concept of the knob ...
