and here I was just thinking about...
...your dissertation and the meta-transformation of fantasy, and going from there to fanfic :)
May I please tag along and read what you have to say? I'm in the academia/art/writing interstice myself.
And, curious -- may I ask where you teach? I'm (er technically sort of still) a Berkeley student myself, currently failing to finish my dissertation.
